Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl large for marinating
  • 1 Grill preheated to medium-high
  • 8 Skewers wooden or metal

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated

Chicken

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the chicken pieces and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.

Grilling

  • Thread marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving space between each piece. Place skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  • Remove skewers from the grill and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.

Serving

  • Serve the skewers hot, accompanied by rice or a fresh salad. Enjoy the savory and slightly sweet flavors that the sesame marinade provides.

Storage

  • Store any leftover skewers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave before serving.
