  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Honey Glaze

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  • Dip chicken pieces into the flour mixture, then into the eggs, and back into the flour mixture. Ensure each piece is evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F. Fry the chicken in batches for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.
  • In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Simmer on low heat until slightly thickened.
  • Toss the fried chicken in the honey glaze until well coated. Serve immediately for best results.

Serving

  • Plate the glazed chicken and garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired. Serve with rice or salad.

Storage

  • Allow the chicken to cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for crispiness.
