Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 saucepan

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Sesame Glaze

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine soy sauce and sesame oil, then add the chicken, ensuring it is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and sesame seeds. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip in egg, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F. Arrange the coated chicken pieces in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and garlic. Stir until it bubbles, then reduce heat and simmer until thickened.

Serving

  • Toss the cooked chicken in the sesame glaze until coated. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.

Storage

  • Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
