Equipment

  • 1 large pot
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 knife

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 8 oz noodles of choice
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the chicken until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pot and set aside.
  • In the same pot, add chicken broth and soy sauce, bringing it to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions until they are tender and have absorbed the broth's flavors.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the pot. Add garlic and ginger, stirring to combine. Simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Finish with a drizzle of sesame oil and sesame seeds.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken and noodles hot, garnished with additional sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

Storage

  • Allow leftovers to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in a pot over medium heat, adding a splash of broth if necessary to loosen the noodles.
